These times of elections invoke in the subjects a stupidity of such proportion that We find it quite promising. Our chief media advisor suggested that We consider new consultants for choreographing the next election. We find ourselves torn by his proposition. To his credit, the absurdist tone of elections past has made for increasingly absurd subjects. The inanity of the televised pundits is of such excess now that We fear that any remaining critical-minded subjects may see the farce for what it is, so for this reason the media advisor may have a valid point in wanting to tone down the variety of issues. He feels, and perhaps rightly so, that issues such as the climate, sexuality, healthcare, and economy should be slowly phased out. He proposes that We stick to the basics during these transitory years and seems to favor a Cold War mentality.

However, the bipartisan pageantry has always proven to be effective beyond our initial expectations. We must admit that the proposition of homosexuality as a key topic in this stage felt like it may be inadequate, but the media advisor's suggestion has proven more longevity than We anticipated. The growing trend of subjects identifying themselves as "moderates" in our left-right paradigm are increasingly pulling to the opposite extremes as We hoped. We feel that if We returned to a more simplistic conflict model, these subjects would return to a more moderate viewpoint. We shall ponder this further, but for the time being, We will continue on the present course; at the very least, until our project in Afghanistan is completed.

The duty undertaken by We erudite nobility can be such a burdened weight on the shoulders.

As of late, We have grown beyond despondent to the mewling of the commoners in the depths of their ignorance. They are incapable, as a whole, to form any rational sense of priorities, and the fool notion of "democracy" is largely to blame. On the minds of the peons are issues of bread and circuses, and yet they claim to have a natural right to decide the course of the kingdom. If there truly was allowed to them any kind of actual self-governance, surely the stone age would be upon the land yet again. Nay, We have progressed science and industry too far to let this great Empire fade into the sands of time like Rome before it-- this progress and the nobility who possess the understanding to wield it must start restricting the culture of indulgence that has grown as a result of our prosperity.

The peasant herd must be culled in an orderly fashion of those who are prone to disobedience, such to prevent the widespread introduction of disease and open warfare on the streets. To accomplish such an undertaking, the sabre of the law must be turned on the lower and middle classes so as to lessen their numbers and also inspire an unquestioning, law-abiding attitude in those who remain. To this end, my advisors bring word that the last of the new prisons are on the edge of completion.

It is indeed true that the very poor have traditionally served as our pool for new soldiers, however, their general lack of education (and thus, learning potential) has proven them to be an inefficient army. Those in what is now the more educated middle class will instead become the new recruitment pool, by means of making higher education far too cost prohibitive for all but the most elite. With career options limited, they will either look toward law enforcement or the armed forces. This will provide us the higher calibre cadet We will require in these days of re-strengthening our nation.

With the wealth of the middle class currently being reallocated to the nobility, there should be a uniform culture of working for subsistence rather than indulgence. This should allow for greater latitude in our operation of the kingdom, as they will defer to our decisions in exchange for protection of all perceivable threats.
